1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that your browser saves when you visit a website. This site also uses the browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which does a similar job; here we treat it together with cookies.

2. What you decide

By default we do not load any measurement or advertising tool. The banner offers Accept and Decline with the same visibility, and if you do not answer we treat it as a rejection. Essential cookies always work because the site cannot function without them.

3. Essential cookies and storage

They cannot be turned off. They are:

  • blinq_region and blinq_country (cookies, 30 days): your approximate region based on your connection, to show you the right contact channel: WhatsApp or a form.
  • blinq_lang (cookie, one year): the language you choose in the footer selector.
  • blinq_cookies (local storage): your decision about cookies.
  • blinq_theme (local storage): your choice of light or dark mode.
  • Conversation with the assistant (session storage): kept while the tab is open and deleted when you close it.

4. Measurement (only if you accept)

We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage statistics: which pages are visited, from what kind of device and which contact buttons are used. It only loads if you press Accept; until then your browser does not connect to Google Analytics. It sets these cookies:

  • _ga (up to 2 years): tells one browser from another with a random identifier, to count visitors without knowing who you are.
  • _ga_<container ID> (up to 2 years): keeps the session state so the pages of one visit are counted together.

This is how we have it set up:

  • Google as data processor: Google LLC processes this data on Blinq's behalf, under its data processing terms for Google Analytics. Its servers are in the United States, so there is an international data transfer (see the Privacy policy, section 8.3).
  • No Google Signals or ad personalization: both are turned off. We do not use this data for Google advertising or match it with your Google account.
  • Retention: event data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics and then deleted.
  • No personal data in events: when you press an email or WhatsApp button we only record the type of contact and where the button is, never your name, your email or what you write.

5. Advertising (only if you accept)

  • Meta Pixel (Meta, United States): measures your visits and actions, such as pressing a WhatsApp button, to evaluate and improve Blinq's ads on Facebook and Instagram. It sets its own cookies in your browser.

6. Third-party resources that are not cookies

To display the site, your browser connects to third-party servers, so your IP address reaches them even if you have not accepted anything:

  • Google Fonts (Google): the site's typefaces.
  • Cloudflare: some icons, from its content delivery network.

How we handle this data is in the Privacy policy (section 8.3).

7. How to change your decision

Press the button, or Cookie settings in the footer of any page, and the banner will appear again so you can choose again. If you press Decline after accepting, we withdraw your consent: Google Analytics and Meta Pixel stop sending data and we delete the _ga and _ga_<container ID> cookies from your browser, along with the Meta Pixel ones (_fbp and _fbc).
